Amanda Blazka

Amanda is a senior from Pennsylvania majoring in Human Development & Family Studies and double-minoring in Sociology and Film Studies. She is extremely thankful to have found her place at UConn within the Ballroom Dance Team and views competition days as the best days of the school year! She has competed since freshman year and her favorite styles are Smooth and Latin. In her spare time, you can find her obsessing over classic film, crafting, playing the Clarinet and eating an obscene amount of junk food. Although she may be an intimidating 5’ 9,” she is extremely approachable and is willing to meet and help anyone on the team. She is super excited to return as Secretary for this year!

Benjamin Hellmann

Hello and welcome to Ballroom. I'm a junior, majoring in computer engineering, and this year's club director. I am extremely excited to be working with everyone who walks in the door from the most elegant to those who've never danced ballroom a day in their life.

My first ever experience with Ballroom started here at UConn only one year ago as a sophomore and I want to make sure we are as welcoming to you as last year's club was to me.

If you want to contact me about the club or just want to talk you can email me or come say hi at club. I hope I can help you learn a little about dance and have fun while you're at it!

Harrison Burr

Hello there everybody! I'm Harrison, the nerd behind the site for the club. I'm a sophomore majoring in Digital Media and Design (concentrating in Web Design, so this is fitting).

I've long since had an interest in ballroom and thanks to UCONN got a chance to try it out and love it for everything I imagined it was and is. I joined in the fall of my freshman year of 2017 and have been on the team since. I look forward to learning so much more and continuing to improve what I (think) have already learned. My favorite dances are Tango, Foxtrot, and Waltz. I'm a Bronze level competitor. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions! Harrison Out.
