Team Sponsored Competitions

Team sponsored competitions are those which UConn Ballroom has chosen to officially support. The team offers Uconn students discounted registration fees, registers couples online, and arranges ride lists for those who are interested.

Registration

All registered and paid team members will be contacted prior to the competition by e-mail (to the address you registered with) with instructions on registration as well as registration deadlines. Those who do not contact the Secretary with their registration information by the specified date will have to register themselves independently and risk paying late fees to the school hosting the competition.

Ride Lists

The team orchestrates carpools going to and from team sponsored competitions. All registered and paid team members will be notified by e-mail (to the address they registered with) prior to the competition about ride lists, and will be asked whether or not they will be needing a ride or are available to drive. Although the team does its best to accommodate everyone who is unable to drive, seats are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Therefore it is important to notify the secretary before the specified deadline whether or not you will be needing a ride.

Other Competitons

These competitions are not sponsored by Uconn Ballroom. If you choose to participate you will be responsible for registering yourself, the payment of any and all fees, and organizing transportation to and from the event. However, often times there will be other team members interested in attending that you may be able to work out transportation with. Also, if needed, many competitions offer housing on a first-come-first-serve basis.
