Start of Club and Spring Involvement Fair

The first meeting of the UConn Ballroom Dance Club is going to be this coming Monday, January 26th from 7:00 to 9:00pm. If you did not participate in the fall, you can still join this semester! Club will also be followed by a team practice from 9:00 to 10:30. You do not need any prior experience ballroom dancing to join the team. If you would like more information, the “About Us” section of this website has answers many common questions about the Club and Team.

Still have other questions? You can also come talk to us at the Involvement Fair on Wednesday, January 28th from 3:00 to 8:00pm. We’ll be in the SU Lobby, and will be doing a brief demonstration from 5:45 to 5:50.

Spring 2009

We would like to thank everyone for making Fall 2008 a very successful semester!

The first night of the UConn Ballroom Dance Club and Team for the Spring semester will be on January 26th, 2009. You do not have to have participated in the club during the Fall to join us in the Spring, though for those that did we will be teaching different steps this time around. We will open online registration back up once we get closer to the start next semester.

We look forward to seeing everyone back in the Spring, in addition to many new faces! We have a very exciting semester planned – check back here in a few weeks and we should have the whole schedule available.

Competition Coordinator Election

We would like to congratulate Seana Mearceu on her recent appointment as the 2009–2010 UConn Ballroom Dance Competition Coordinator! She will be in charge of organizing the 2009 UConn Ballroom Dance competition, which should be excellent!

Please make sure to check out the schedules and events sections of the website for the most recent information regarding practices, social dances, and other events. We are still trying to work out space issues for weekly team practices, but will let you know when we have an official practice schedule.

As a reminder to new dancers, the club will be meeting every Monday night in the SU Ballroom at 7:00pm, unless posted otherwise on our schedules page.

Involvement Fair!

Want more information about UConn Ballroom? Come visit us at the Involvement Fair on Wednesday, September 3rd in the Student Union! We’ll also be doing a brief demonstration if you’d like to see us in action. We’ll post the time of said demonstration when that information becomes available.
